I saw Predators this past weekend and got me excited about drawing a Pred. Plus, Fishburn’s makeshift pred helmet had a samurai back to it and I thought that was a cool idea. So, here is my Samurai Predator. Top knot and all. Hopes you like.
Finally, my finished 50 people assignment. I went with 50 of the most popular athletes in the media over the last few years. It's a little bias (9 Dallas based athletes), but I don't care cause it's my project! I'm gonna go in and add/redo some of the logos for their hats and jerseys later. This is also a pretty bad scan of it and I hope to get a better one soon.
So here is the final colored version of Joe Bowen's "Pug in a Sidecar" fan art pinup i did for Rowena's sexy woman assignment. I was going to put her in front of a garage, but I kinda like the plain white background. This assignment took a lot longer than I originally thought it was going to, but I like the way it ended up.
These are the pencils for Joe Kubert's "Robbery" story. Nightwing swoops in to save an elderly couple from a pair of crooks, only to find out, THE COUPLE ROBS THE CROOKS! WHAT A TWIST! I don't think this was written by M. Night Shyamalan.
Inked version of my Zelda illustration. Gonna put some watercolors on this next week. I got really excited for this piece after beating the game for the millionth time last week.
Pen and Ink on Illustration board 2-Ply Cold Press.
Page one pencils for my Ultimate Spiderman test script I'm working on for my portfolio. At least 2 more pages to come, and possibly a 3rd. Perspective is fun!
Two of my faves growing up. Deadpool's a 'little' over done these days, and I haven't really followed anything with Cable in it for sometime. Anyway, this was penciled, inked and then colored in photoshop. The background and lightning was done in Illustrator.
This was my last assignment for Andy Kubert's class in 2009. I had just seen the second movie and was in the mood to draw him. I had a lot of fun drawing it, but wish I had incorporated my own style into it more than just copying the established style.
So I'm joining the Blog scene. I've been told it's a better way to showcase your art. Anyway, here is my first post. Sitting here, listening to Brian Buniak rant on and on about parody vs. "ripping off."
Well, this is my first submission. The seven deadly sins (Pride, Lust, Wrath, Envy, Greed, Sloth and Gluttony.) This is their full colored version. Penciled and inked on 2-ply comic board, scanned and colored in photoshop CS3.
Born in Las Vegas, spent my childhood in San Diego, grew up in Dallas, schooled in New Jersey, now I'm back in Big D.
Being an illustrator is all I've wanted to be. I love drawing, in any form, whether it be comics, portraits, cartoons, digital, etc.
