LaHa-Frisco Process Pics

 Laying out the chalkboard.

 Starting the colors.

 Picture reference.

 Train, station and water tower.

 The Dallas skyline coming together.

Closeup of train with Bandito Mariano at the helm. (1993 is the year the Frisco store opened.)

 Papa Martinez.

Bruce Williams? (GM of Frisco store. He said it looked his butt.)

Me with the man, the legend, Mariano Martinez.

 It's coming together.

The bluebonnets were a last minute touch.

Close-up of Bluebonnets.
 Me with my finished work!

 One more train close up.

La Hacienda Ranch-Frisco Chalkboard Mural

Pretty difficult to get a good picture of this completed.  There's a window to the left there that created a lot of glare problems.  This is about 6ft x 13ft and done with chalk pastels.

Sgt. Rock

I did this today in memory of Joe Kubert.  I was brought to tears for the first time in years today thinking about how much the world is going to miss one of the finest gentlemen I've ever had the pleasure to meet.  He was an amazing artist and dedicated to teaching the next generations of artists.  The three years I was lucky enough to spend at his school were some of the best of my life.  His dream helped us realize ours.  Thank you Joe.  You will be missed.
